Why We Built This Site
Kansas gives the public access to many court records, but Lyon County records are not held in one place. The Clerk of the District Court handles district court case files for criminal, civil, domestic, traffic, probate, small claims, and limited action matters. Emporia Municipal Court handles many city ordinance, municipal traffic, and local misdemeanor matters. The Sheriff's Office and Detention Center handle jail and law enforcement records, while state offices handle vital certificates and statewide case access.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
